Codamotion systems offer sophisticated, easy to use and portable measurement systems for applications such as posture analysis, stroke rehabilitation and motor control studies requiring real time feedback.

Codamotion sensor units are in operation in leading Motor Control, rehabilitation and gait and posture laboratories throughout the world.   The Institute of Neurology in London and Paris Descartes University were early adopters of Codamotion technology. They have been followed by institutions and organisations stretching over a number of neuroscience applications, including being chosen for challenging applications such as tracking the brain strategies of astronauts in the orbiting International Space Station.

A Codamotion system is ideal for analysing all scales of human body movement. Small scales details of hands, face, feet and spine can be captured together with large-scale whole-body movements. Equipment can be transported to different sites so subjects can be analysed in the environment appropriate to the study.

Critically, the active marker technology used in Codamotion systems produces real time data.  Less than 1ms elapses between a measurement and its availability for processing and display.  This can be fully exploited using the Software Developer's Kit by users who want to build real time feedback into their experiments/projects.  (Time delays in systems using the ODIN software suite depend on the complexity of the protocol and any real time scripts that are being run on incoming data.)
